According to a representative for Pamela Anderson who spoke to Entertainment Weekly, the “Baywatch” actress is producing a new version of “Barb Wire,” originally starring Anderson herself in 1996.

Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee, together with their mother, make up the production company And-Her-Sons Productions. Their first project will be a TV version of “Barb Wire.”

Both the 1996 film and the upcoming series are based on the Dark Horse Comics character from the 1990s, created by Chris Warner. Thomas Lee and Pamela Anderson will serve as executive producers on the project, which is still in development.

According to Deadline, Pamela will not return to the lead role in the series, which will have a different feel from the movie.

The project is a co-production between UCP, Dark Horse Entertainment, and And-Her-Sons Productions.

A Dark Horse representative shared a synopsis of the series:

“Based on the namesake character from Dark Horse Comics, this adaptation follows the tough Barbara Kopetski, also known as Barb Wire, the most relentless bounty hunter on the dangerous streets of Steel Harbor.”

The publisher will also release in February 2026 a complete volume compiling all the main Barb Wire comics, along with extra material, titled “The Barb Wire Compendium.”

Although not well received at the time, the film starring Pamela Anderson has gained an audience over the years and become a cult classic in the action film genre.

Barb Wire won two Golden Raspberry Awards, including Pamela Anderson as Worst New Star and Lee for the original song Welcome to Planet Boom! (a.k.a. This Boom’s for You).
